leaving blank messages

Last weekend, I went to Pune to spend time with my parents. The objective of this trip, as per mom, was to teach her how to SMS from her new phone. Now this is not something I'm very fond of doing. I don't know if its cause I'm a bad teacher or that parents generally have a hard time adapting to new(?) technologies or a bit of both. So anyways, my mom and I sit down in the evening and I show her how to send an SMS. So she gets to the part where you type in your message and she types "How are you?" and sends the message to my cellphone. Perfect.

Now I just want to be sure that she's got the hang of it and ask her to send a message again and she sends me 2 blank messages. Now off to Round 2 of Teaching Mom to SMS. Anyways, I tell her to just keep practicing.

Now I'm at work in Dolvi (still), and I get a message from Mom saying "Taru, missing you. Cookin!g nice things" (Taru is my nickname at home)...cute message. So I call up home to find out what was cooking. It was Lasagna (is that the correct spelling?). Even funnier was that my mom tells me that she couldn't find my name in the contacts and had to type in my number by referring to our telephone directory. She said, " When I pressed Send, it showed Ambulance, so why would I want to message an Ambulance". I asked her "Why didn't u press "def" and search for my name". She said "Ooooohhh"

Anyways , I got another blank message from Mom again last night.
